We took a shuttle from the hotel to the port for a ferry to Mackinac Island and back to the hotel when it was finished. We only saw the town as we rode through but went back to a Jamaican restaurant for dinner. It would be fun to spend more time here to visit more of the town and what sites they might hold.Guest review byJoeUnited States - 6.0
The people in Marquette were very nice.
The people in Marquette were very nice. It depends on what you are looking for. Marquette was more congested than I expected but it offered a lot of good things. They had great museums, some fun shops, good food and friendly people.Guest review byStock - 6.0
The Pictured Rocks tour was fabulous.
The Pictured Rocks tour was fabulous. We gained an hour getting there the night before from where we live. We tried to get something to eat in town at 8:00p.m (which was 7:00 for us) and nothing was open that said they were on a Thursday before Labor day. Finding a place to eat was absolutely frustrating and had to settle for a fast food burger or a Gas station pizza place.....ugh. Closing kitchens at 8pm seemed out of the norm for us especially in a tourist city. With nothing much else to offer outside of a beautiful landscape we probably would not return anytime soon for something to do and see.Guest review byVaughan - 10.0
My son loves the big boats.
My son loves the big boats. Being able to check on the app or call the hot line as to weekday what ships were coming when made the stay even better. There's so much to see there that it made the stay even better.Guest review byMargaretUnited States - 10.0
Great little town to drive through on a road trip!
Great little town to drive through on a road trip! Stayed in a very comfy king size bed at the Travelodge to split up our drive from Ontario to Minnesota, both ways! Lots of options for shopping, restaurants, fast food, banks etc. We ate at the Wendy's which was very clean and had friendly staff. We also visited the Walmart which was way bigger than we expected for a small town. Upper Peninsula, Michigan is such a wonderful area and we will definitely be visiting again.Guest review byClaireCanada - 10.0

Ironwood is a great place to spend a few days many hiking trails and cool waterfalls, short staffed in many restaurants made it more difficult to find places to eat but this is happening in many areas. Ironwood is definitely worth exploring. I went to the area twice this past year and each time explored something different. I do not ski but the area looked like it would be a very fun place for a winter ski trip or a snowmobiling trip.Guest review byMargaretUnited States - 8.0
I have relatives who live there, so like to visit with them.
I have relatives who live there, so like to visit with them. There are a lot of convenient stores & restaurants. Enjoyed historic downtown & lakefront in both Marinette & Menomonie Mi. Dave's falls is a must see, but careful with kids. People are pleasant and not pretentious.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 10.0
A great place for families.
A great place for families. There’s a heated salt water pool that kids & adults love. Their free cookies are delicious. The complimentary coffee is great. The rooms are comfortable. The beds are really high & difficult to climb into. If you are short, a stool is needed. The decor is state of the art with photos of winter sports. Did not like all the tv’s going at the same time.Guest review byAngelaUnited States - 8.0

We didn't spend much time in Newberry, but it's close to Tahquamenon Falls, which are spectacular ... especially the Lower Falls. Also, Crisp Point Lighthouse is amazing, in spite of the 18-mile rough road.Guest review byPaulsonUnited States
