It is a small and local resort in the middle of a lot of construction sites. It seems a lot of local families stay here to celibrate anniversaries. There is little to do and no other restaurants, but there is no need. You should really go now before it all gets completely comersilialize. We booked 3 nights but extended 1 night. You have the beach completely to yourself. They clean the beach every morning but you should be aware that the rest of the beach is quite dirty because of all construction. If you go for a long beach walk, do it in the morning. We booked a room with seaview, which was very good , but there are strandvillas that look nice too with your own pool. The staff was excellent. Beautiful views from bothe the balcony and rooftop bar. The pool was really nice and the food in both the restaurant and bar was good. Old Mui Ne (near Phan Thiet) is entertaining and one can find good seafood and western style restaurants. Basically a place for Vietnamese to enjoy the beach. The beach in Mui Ne is much nicer than Vung Tau and it is better accessible than Vung Tau due to the new expressway. With small children Asteria is certainly a good choice. Buses from the south are likely to drop you at the beach, and transfer you to town with a free minibus shuttle. I stored my luggage at the bus office and walked to Fairy stream, then caught a later shuttle. This was a good way to do it as I hate tours, and only had one more full day to see the sand dunes. The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive...
The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive from Dallas across the very winding road across the hills I think the drive from HCM is more straightforward but twice as long but around 3hours 30 Minutes. The Me Bungalow was in a excellent setting and There was plenty to do in surrounding areas Henry the owner organised excursions for us and they were top class . Recommend the Chinese Buddha and dragon fruit farm tour 👍restaurants We’re very good ( and there’s plenty of them ) .
