We were lucky enough during our stay to have a homecooked meal with a private concert. We felt privileged to be there at just the right time. If you are staying more then a few days in Cape Town. Consider coming here and combine it with cape point, and eating fish at fishhoek or houtbay.

The location to the nice beach front areas of Cape Town were also so close, but removed enough to experience piece and quiet. Loved it.

United KingdomSunshine Cottage is a lovely place to stay in the area of Fish Hoek, and I would definitely recommend it. Very clean, comfortable, private, and spacious enough for two people. Great facilities and within walking distance to the beach. The place is quiet and has a supermarket (Spar) not far from. Private parking and excellent wifi. Comfortable bed and a great shower! Enjoyed the coffee, milk, and the biscuits that the hosts left for us too :-)

Very Clean.
It was very hard to find an Uber driver first since all driver cancelled when they saw the location… but the hosts were VERY helpful. They organized for us a transport to the airport and gave us the advice to prebook Uber (you pay a little bit more, but drivers are then willing to pick you up)

Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. Fish Hoek is quite a busy town with several supermarkets to pick up groceries; Woolworths is excellent. And the town is nicely located on the coast for easy access to both east and west coast resorts - and Cape of Good hope, too. Very impressed with Kalk Bay. It’s been great seeing the progress in five years in terms of the upliftment of the area. Village was clean and we took the train in to CT central which was great! Clovelly is a lovely quiet area in between the quite lively and noisy suburbs of Kalk Bay and Fish hoek, but only a short walking distance away from them, (about 15 minutes walk) So nice if you want to have peace and quiet while you sleep. Clovelly and fish hoek beach are really close, and the nice restaruants in Kalk bay also close. There are lovely mountain paths you can walk down and hikes right out of the back garden. St James is charming with gracious buildings and homes. Gardens and flowers. There's a tennis court next to the sea. I drove to Muizenberg for a walkabout and breakfast one morning, and shopped in Kalk Bay, but St James is the "gem" sandwiched between the two towns. exactly as advertise, no surprizes. very nice, clean and comfortable stay. ideal for families or in my case, close friends. ideally situated for cape point, hout bay and peninsula. the distance even works well for table mountain and sea point via the scenic chapman's peak drive. The location is perfect for exploring the Cape Peninsula, with easy access to Boulders Beach and its famous penguins, as well as breathtaking drives along the coast. Muizenberg is a big surf area attracting many people who love being in or close to the water. It is busy and active with plenty of action on or near the water. Plenty of eating places with great coffee to go. Not Hout Bay or Camps Bay so don't go thinking you will get fine dining and dressed up crowds. Think more bohemian and down to earth.
