Eugene was such a great host. He spent the evening on the patio with us after fixing us his famous Kudu burgers. The guest room we stayed in was spacious and very cool despite the temps already exceeding 30 degrees. The bed was comfy and we slept really well. Breakfast was again done by Eugene and was excellent. If you come to the Klein Karoo do yourself a favour and stay here even if it’s a bit remote.

driving towards the lodge is a stunning drive. arriving in this paradise valley completes the journey. We were dearly welcomed and felt at ease right away. A dip in the pool got rid of the dust from the drive. a large pool good for some lanes in the morning. We stayed at a cottage. it’s all well equipped. a strong AC will get it cool. although it was very comfortable end of afternoon. the night was cool so windows open and natural AC came in. we took a tour and David showed us some awesome spots. including a view on the giraffes. breakfast afterwards was a real treat. we left feeling like completely spoiled. which we were. it’s hard to compare this to many a standard. it was a 5 star-plus-turbo-A stay. Thanks Rudi and staff!

I loved that the cottage was beautifully finished, pet-friendly, and tucked away in a dirt road 5km off the R62, which made it perfect for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed walking around the farm, passing sheep, donkeys, and a horse, and drove down to the Touw River for a stunning sunset walk. Our dog had an amazing time exploring, which made the stay even more special. The host was thoughtful and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of for a comfortable visit.

The guest house is beautiful with a large atrium that doubles as an art gallery. Theres a large bar with pool table and plenty of seating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are perfect. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves.
