- From US$147.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 651 reviewsOur recent stay at Tsitsikamma Village Inn was nothing short of magical — a perfect blend of historic charm, natural beauty, and warm, welcoming service that made us feel instantly at home. The Inn is laid out like a quaint little village, with each room designed in a unique architectural style reflecting South Africa’s colonial past. Our room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and full of character, making it feel like we’d stepped into another era — but with all the modern comforts you'd hope for. Breakfast was a real treat. The options were plentiful — from fresh fruit and pastries to hearty cooked dishes and the best coffee we had on the Garden Route. Sitting out in the peaceful garden as the village woke up was the perfect way to start each day. One of the true highlights of our stay was dinner at Marilyn’s 60s Diner. The retro décor — with bright neon lights, vintage cars and motorcycles, and a soundtrack of 60s hits — was so fun and unexpected. But what made the evening truly special was Rosy, our server. She was absolutely exceptional — warm, attentive, and full of personality. She made us feel like VIPs, recommending the best dishes (the ribs were out of this world!) and making sure every detail was perfect. Rosy brought such energy and joy to the experience that we won’t soon forget her! The location is ideal for exploring the Tsitsikamma National Park with its iconic suspension bridge, ancient forests, and incredible hiking trails. The staff at the Inn were more than happy to help with directions, activity bookings, and personal recommendations. What sets Tsitsikamma Village Inn apart is how it combines nostalgia and character with genuine, heartfelt hospitality. It doesn’t just offer a place to sleep — it offers a story, an atmosphere, and a connection to the people and culture of the area. Five stars without a doubt — and a huge thank you to Rosy and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return!Guest review byCherilyneMauritius
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,452 reviewsBeautiful setting and an easy drive after a day spent at Storms River mouth. Rooms large and comfy with views of the gorge. Plenty to offer: sauna, spa, pool, playground for kids - one night here was not long enough. Fantastic meals and a great wine cellar, the dining room with beautiful views of the gorge and waterfalls.Guest review bymargaretUnited States

Big, big thanks to super-friendly and helpful staff who arranged a pick-up and transport just for me when I arrived on a bus and solo. Also, the restaurant serves excellent lamb - definitely worth a visit even if you're not staying overnight!Guest review byHubertPoland

This quaint little town has so much to offer. The access to the forests with its fantastic hikes, loads of other activities and a couple of great restaurants. Marilyn's diner is a must visit if you are ever in this town. The team at the Treetop canopy tours are amazing.Guest review byNico WieseSouth Africa - 10.0
Natures Valley is very special.
Natures Valley is very special. Most other bays in the area are over developed and commercialised. Natures Valley still captures the time when going to the beach was not all about how magnificent your property was. Lets hope it stays that way.Guest review byBruceNew Zealand - 8.0

Beautifully picturesque, peaceful, and isolated - Come to 'ERS' if you want to spend all your time on the beach or walking the surrounding short nature paths... All the other well known Tsitsikamma sights & activities are located +- a 25-45km drive away...and sadly the only way into Eersterivierstrand is a very rough and dusty 7km dirt road... not great if you didn't come in an appropriately rugged vehicle... Also, be sure to pack literally EVERYTHING you will need for your stay - incl. drinking water / ice / firewood / food and beach gear... buying something you had forgotten means traveling +-17km (to the thrift shop and back) at the N2 turn-off into Eersterivierstrand...Guest review bySonet & Eugene BarnardSouth Africa - 8.0
Kareedouw was a transit point for us driving on Route 62.
Kareedouw was a transit point for us driving on Route 62. Beautiful countryside, and experiencing more rural farm country compared to other parts of the Garden Route. I would recommended to drive this part of route 62 in order to see more of farming and rural areas.Guest review byPieterSwitzerland - 10.0

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, time out, this place has it to offer. Tsitsikamma is a beautiful, scenic and relaxing area to visit. There are some touristy things to do as well. We enjoyed pizza at Papa Africa in the village, a must to visit. There is a stunning mountain hike one can do in 5 days or break up in 2 day chunks if staying in the area. Highly recommended.Guest review byChez69South Africa - 10.0

We just Luv this quaint little town, love that it's in the heart of nature yet it still offers fun adventures for everyone! Absolutely love the peace and quiet, the birds, the forest with stunning views from both mountains and sea. The suspension bridge at Stormsrivier Mouth is a Must See to experience. Marilyn's Diner and Tsitsikamma Village Inn & Hotel always worth a visit with great food, excellent milkshakes and of course the Flame Bistro has the best potato wedges, curries, wines and friendly efficient service. Riding a Sedway through the forest is great fun and the Canopy Tour ziplines has breathtaking views and is a thrilling experience!Guest review bySlater - 10.0

Nature´s Valley is by my opinion the most beautiful place along the Garden Route. Quiet, swimming is possible both in The Ocean and in the lagoon. Not crowded at all (like Stormsriver Mouth), with 1 shop and 1 restaurant.Guest review byVladimírCzech Republic - 10.0
The rooms are spacious and it has stunning views of the sea.
The rooms are spacious and it has stunning views of the sea. Appliances are a bit outdated but it had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend 29@kamma. We were very comfortable. It does not have any tv channels, not even regular SABC channels. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and I would happily return in future. It has a shop about 10 minutes away, a butchery and garage. It was all close by. The Tsitsikamma National park is an half an hour drive away and the Elephant Sanctuary was an hours drive away in Plettenberg Bay. It was well worth the visit. I traveled all over Europe and Asia but this trip was by far the most remarkable.Guest review byJacquiSouth Africa - 8.0

It's a little dorpie, so not much to do there but Assegaibosch Lodge was amazing. Great property with springboks, horses and blue crane on site for viewing. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Great hospitality from Leandra and the team. A bit of a long drive from the Tsitsikama National Park but definitely worth the drive. Great price point as well.Guest review bySeeletse - 10.0

We were very impressed with the accomodation ito the space, well furnished kitchen with all required appliances, numerous games for bad weather days or evenings and comfortable beds. The provision of solar back-up was a great advantage. Good Wi-fi with further performance upgrades from fiber shortly to be introduced.Guest review byStephanusSouth Africa
