- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 24 reviewsEverything was great as as others have said. But I want to point out to potential future guests how perfectly orientated this property is. Because it faces north it gets the best of the sun during the day without blinding sunsets, so you really can enjoy the view all day long. Plus it is well protected from the infamous Cape southeaster wind. The proximity of a rocky outcrop provides the added visual interest of waves breaking and birds gathering. There is direct access to the lovely shoreline path with its local flora (some with nicely annotated name tags) and birdlife. Apart from the marine animals (seals, dolphins) and birds (including the distinctive African Black Oystercatcher, of course) we were delighted by an apparently semi-resident tortoise and visits by guinea fowl and a steenbok.Guest review byPhilipSouth Africa
- From US$177.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 699 reviewsThis hotel is a wonderful little luxury gem just a short walk away from the ocean. The staff were attentive and warm from the time we walked into the reception. We had dinner at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Breakfast was included and was just as delicious. The rooms were super spacious and great quality. The sun shines through into the restaurant so beautifully in the morning. Worth a mention :D I posted a video of it on our social media channel @darrinandmbali on TikTokGuest review byMbalenhleUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$121.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 283 reviewsThe staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us a list of restaurants and a map to find it. Breakfast was to our liking and without pork as we requested. The staff also gave us directions to see the beautiful wild flowers, it was amazing. They also directed us to the art shops and even a show that was on that evening. Definitely a place to visit again in future.Guest review byjeremyNamibia

The housekeeping lady was excellent, and her warm smile made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay from the day we checked in until our departure. Paternoster is a beautiful village with an outstanding beach. There are a wide choice of places to stay and some excellent restaurants in the area. We ate at Gaitjies and at the Voorstand restaurants. Gaitijies is excellent..creative cuisine , and Voorstrand serves delicious simpler food, but well worth a visit. Both these restaurants are on the beach and enjoy the perfect views.Guest review byPatrickSouth Africa - 8.0

Saldanha is a quiet fishing and mining town with lots of interesting places to see. The local fish monger has the best fish and chips. The Weskus Mall is close by with good shops to visit. We visited the fossil museum close by which has very interesting exhibits.Guest review byJeffrey KnickelbeinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
St Helena Bay is a very interesting village.
St Helena Bay is a very interesting village. It is conveniently situated on the West Coast within in reach of many small, interesting villages and towns. It faces north over the sea, which makes it ideal. Its close proximity to Cape Town is definitely a bonus.Guest review byJacquesPortugal - 10.0
The house is stunning and well laid out.
The house is stunning and well laid out. Braai room is wonderful for family games or just sitting around chatting. Beautiful views of the sea and the green belt allows for wonderful walks. Lena who opened for us was great and available for any questions we had. We will be back and highly recommend this home that has that feels like home away from home.Guest review byPrudenceSouth Africa - 10.0

It's quiet, peaceful venue. The room is fitted with remarkable detailed wooden furniture pieces, a reminder of a trip down memory lane. I was stunned! The Hostesses are friendly warm people with an eye for detail. Everything was perfect for Peter and myself. This is a gem in the heart of Vredenburg, West Coast South Africa🇿🇦Guest review bySandySouth Africa - 10.0

I am from Cape Town, so I am spoiled with many wonderful beaches…. But sadly … few are safe…. Shelley Point is the best location for safety and the most beautiful beaches, views and friendly people! Being in a security estate, you can walk on the beach, cycle in the estate with never ever looking over your shoulder regarding security issues…. And the views and beaches are really spectacluar!Guest review byerikaSouth Africa - 10.0
Its a beautifully thought out family friendly property.
Its a beautifully thought out family friendly property. Its a pleasure preparing family meals in the well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area. Then enjoying them on the beach facing terrace table while observing dolphins frolickingly in the ocean. Lovely braai facility on the deck too, with all the braai grids and pooitjie pots you may need, there also. The property is designed in such a way that a family of six, or even only one or two guests will feel comfortable using all or only a few of the facilities. Under cover parking would have been the cherry on top, but the area is patrolled by security vehicles that we saw, during the night. We felt safe at all times.Guest review bySwenSouth Africa - 6.0

C’est La Vie is undeniably a beautiful property, with stunning, unobstructed views of the sea and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The quiet surroundings were a real highlight—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. We did play some music one afternoon, well before the 9pm cutoff, but unfortunately received complaints and were informed of a strict no-noise policy. It would be helpful if this was clearly communicated in advance, as it did catch us off guard. The living room fireplace was a lovely touch and added a cozy charm to the space. However, the rest of the house lacked heating, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable, especially during cooler nights. Additionally, the property ran out of toilet paper during our stay, which was unexpected and inconvenient. Considering the premium cost of the rental, I believe management should address these issues to better align the experience with the price point. That said, the staff during booking and check-in were exceptionally helpful and courteous, which we really appreciated. Overall, C’est La Vie has great potential, but a few improvements would make it truly exceptional.Guest review byCalvinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town does not have much going. there should be things to do for people booking in. I was there for a different reason. my Mother passed away. so still i would not do a holiday to the town. we are very active people and love to do activities. I will come back to see someone. Or when passing by stop and overnight. I felt that overall the town needed more life.Guest review bySchutteSouth Africa - 6.0
The setting is beautiful but it's not an attractive town.
The setting is beautiful but it's not an attractive town. Looks a little old. not too many choices of restaurants and limited appeal. However, the developments with houses on the sea are lovely,Guest review byHeidiSouth Africa
