Excellent location on Central Avenue with direct access to the Interstates. The hotel has its own parking space two blocks away but I was lucky and got a space in front of the Main Entrance. Friendly ladies at Front Desk upon arrival. Be prepared that this is a quirky and old hotel (1911) with a lot of history and not all modern conveniences which are standard in a modern hotel chain. Small bathroom, small room.

No breakfast service, no complimentary coffee. However, there is a breakfast restaurant around the corner on 17th Street. Housekeeping is a disaster. The room was not clean, the bed sheets were not clean with stains on them, there was dust and the room was not vacuum cleaned. When I complained the Front Desk said that other guests also had complained about housekeeping (which did not help me much) and he showed me a handwritten list with complaints. He wanted to give me a refund but the procedure has to go through Booking.com which is cumbersome.

The location is excellent: easy access to the metro/subway which gave us access to the whole city and surrounds; easy access to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the baseball park and other places of interest. The rooms were a very good size and the view from our window was good

There was not a chest of drawers to hold our clothes. There was only a shelf above the hanging rack but the shelf was too high for my wife. We did ask for a chest of drawers but this was not possible. My wife and I were with you for 6 nights and "working out" of our luggage was far from ideal. Switching the bedroom lights on was problematic. The cutlery could only be described as cheap and nasty. In short little or no effort had been put into finishing the apartment properly: a truly great apartment was badly let down by how it had been finished.

We’ve made the booking weeks before from France and what a disappointment it was when we check in .. our family room was number 7146 , this room was not what we thought we’ve pay for , very small for 2 adults and one child , awful view ( see photo) and extremely noisy on the night because so close with the bar / club on the street just below. I had to beg literally on the next morning to have a different room . Finally after longs talks we did . Also half of the family pool was closed & the small main one was overcrowded so we couldn’t use it.. Not the “standing “quite pricey hotel we were looking for.

Privately serviced unit which i did not know, Telephone did not work & reception didn't want to help. Coffee making jug & microwave however no tea or coffee supplies, no cutlery or plates so items provided was waste of effort. 2 lights did not work.
