Bathroom and shower cubicle were very small. Nowhere for toiletries in shower.

Location was excellent for entering Sequoia NP. Swimming pool was very welcome to cool off and relax after a day’s sightseeing.

We only stayed at the lazy J for one night on our way up to Sequoia. I’ve booked because of the reviews seemed good, it seems like a good value, and great locations. And traveling with a toddler, when I saw there were animals on property, it was a no brainer! We arrived very late, but our key was waiting for us. We had a comfortable sleep and woke up at sunrise to enjoy the animals right behind our room and a short stroll to the river to start our sequoia getaway. Will definitely return!

Open air comfortable lodging. Pool outside so you can swim looking at the stars. Thought went into the room amenities eg make up removal wipes. However if the property had told us that they had hummingbirds to us would have been the star draw! Amazing!

Loved the goats, sheep, dogs, and cats. Loved walking down to the river. Didn’t use the pool but thought it was in a great location on the property. The lady at check in was super friendly and helpful with dinner options.

Great location, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful, and gave me a printout of nearby places to eat and when they closed. Room had a small fridge and microwave and 2 daybeds, so 4 people could sleep comfortably. Will definitely stay here again!

We didn't have electricity the night that we stayed. We understand that it wasn't the hotel's responsibility as it happened to a portion of the town, but it did affect our experience.

The friendly staff, the lay out of the property, plenty of space to walk around, animals and nature all around, and the quietness of the place it was so peaceful.

Kitchen equipment was clearly thrown together with little thought. For example, about 20% of kitchen space was occupied by a huge fridge, which is way too big for a stay of normal duration. There was a lot of pots in the kitchen, but no kettle (electric or usual), which is the number 1 appliance to have (one is much more likely to make tea or coffee than to boil potatoes). There were few cups, and all of them were different. Same for teaspoons. Not a real problem, but makes a very makeshift impression.

This motel is perfectly located for entering the Sequoia Park. The park entrance is less than 10 miles away from it. The accommodation is in separate building, which is convenient - very private. It stands a large plot of land, where there is a makeshift zoo with lambs, goats and sheep, which is a nice curiosity. There is space for kids to run around w/o bumping into other people. There is also a good pool. Inside, there are 2 beds and a couch, which you can turn into another bed. The bathroom and the kitchen are pretty small, but still functional.

This place is perfect for our family! The kids really enjoyed seeing all the farm animals and the adults enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife around the lake and all the beautiful hummingbirds! We would definitely stay at this place again!! Oh and the staff was amazing and sooo friendly!
