Maintenance is well kept up with. Bed was very comfortable and all the sheets were clean and fresh, as were the towels. Bathroom was very clean and everything was working properly.

Comfortable beds, smart and chic room layout, hot shower with good water pressure. For people sharing a room: the bathroom door may not block sight nor sound. WiFi available throughout the property. Pets allowed (check ahead for surcharge); you may be lucky to meet the cute resident dog and cat. The Riad is on a narrow alley inside the pedestrian-only old town (Medina) and you can thus hear what is going on around you in the hotel and in the streets. Call ahead for assistance with parking just outside the Medina walls.

Riad Zawia is located on the beachfront in Essaouira, 100 metres from Othello Garden and 3 km from Essaouira Assawak Assalam. Owners/staff were exceptionally helpful and gracious. That accommodated all our requests with a smile.
