We stayed only one night, but it left great impression on us. The location is great - walking distance from Lion rock. Accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Garden is amazing! Breakfast was also very delicious. The owners of the hotel are friendly and always willing to help and give advice.

Very nice and service oriented staff and funny manager. They will help you with everything you have just to ask them. Had a very delicious dinner with a variety of curry's. The rooms are good. Bed and towels are clean too.

The location of Thal Sewana is amazing, 5 minutes walk to the entrance of Pidurangala temple and 15 minutes to the foreigner’s entrance of the Sigiriya fortress. It’s deep in the jungle so very green and peaceful, and the lovely will remove any need for you to go into town. During our time there she cooked breakfast and dinner for us and organised very spontaneous trips by tuktuk to Polonnaruwa (1.40h away) and Dambulla (30mins away). Thal Sewana is also really close to a few eco parks where it’s possible to do elephant safaris in the morning or afternoon, and that is also something that you can easily book through this home stay. The room was very clean, comfortable and air conditioned, we had a great time during our 3 days here!

Great place to stay at Sigirya. You are in a very calm area, in front of the Lion's rock and next to a beautiful lake. One room is with air con and has a great view. We highly recommend.
