We loved our stay at Alpen Resort & Spa! Thanks for the upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn! We really enjoyed the outdoor whirlpool and all the other spa facilities as well. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants in Zermatt. Accommodating staff. Afternoon cake and tea. We could use the spa during our last day as well which was very convenient as our train back was leaving in the evening.

Free WiFi is available in all areas. We loved the hotel, it's traditional design and the views from the room. The room was clean, comfortable & well maintained. We highly recommend the hotel which is also in a great location which is close to the train station & on the main street. The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was good.

Chandolin Boutique Hotel is set at 2,000-metre altitude on one of Europe's highest inhabited villages. It offers a ski-out situation, a gourmet restaurant, panoramic mountain views, a sauna, steam room, relaxation room as well as our outdoor Nordic baths. I've stayed here 2x before and came back because it's such a lovely place in a great location - two minutes' walk from the bus station at Chandolin Poste, two minutes from the grocery shop, and with an amazing breakfast and dinner offerings. The rooms (I stayed in the bunk bed option but by myself) are very comfortable, with a great bathroom setup (rain shower!), comfy bed, water, coffee machine and pods, and lift access to the rooms. The staff are truly lovely and let us store our overnight bags before and after our stay while we went to work up on the mountain.
