We stayed in may, when the town is very calm, along with the beaches and the restaurants. The genuine people all over Ios really makes it stand out compared to Santorini. Best of all was our hosts, really amazing people, never met so kind and caring hosts, can’t thank them enough for making our stay the best it could be.

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona in Ios looking for a simple and authentic Greek experience, and it turned out to be beyond our expectations. The property has an excellent location, with terraces overlooking the beautiful Mylopotas beach – a view worth the trip on its own. Just a few steps from our room we had everything we could ask for: the best fish taverna on the island, boat tours, great beach clubs, and the bus stop to the port and Chora. Everything was within walking distance, peaceful and stress-free. Breakfast was another highlight, with simple but high-quality products that made every morning enjoyable. Most of all, Margherita and the owner Dimitri were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel at home from the very first moment. If you are looking for a genuine, simple, and relaxing stay in the true Greek atmosphere, Hotel Gorgona is the perfect choice.

Perfekt quiet location by the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lisa did much more than anyone can expect to make us feel welcome. We will recommend this to anyone!
