Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama.

Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience.

Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The hotel features hot-spring baths, a restaurant serving breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This ryokan is introduced in Michelin Green Guide Japan. Very comfortable and super friendly and helpful staff.. I strongly recommand this ryokan.

Guests can relax at the communal hot spring bath or the private hot-spring bath free of charge. You can cook in the fully equipped kitchen or read at the mini library. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lounge. It was very beautiful and had complete amenities. It’s an honor to stay in this historical hostel. The hosts were very nice and accomodating

There is a coffee shop, and a minimarket is also available. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in.

Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Everything was perfect. Amazing romantic gateway. 10/10 Friendly staff. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Relaxing. Amazing bath.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, JOYinn is located in Izu Kogen. There is a free shuttle pick-up and drop-off service available for guests from Izu-Kogen Station. Ito Station is a 30-minute drive away from the property. Free private parking is available on site.

Certain units feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Some units have views of the sea or mountain. A flat-screen TV is available. The two hosts are friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent dining suggestions and driving tips. The male host is very patient and nice, always talking to us in a cheerful manner. He was also generous to offer us all basic items.

The public bath and shared lounge offers views of the private forest. Guests can relax with massage at an additional charge. We loved the subtile and tasteful architecture of the place. Everything was beautiful in its simplicity. The private onsen was fantastic especially with the forest in the background. Everything was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was so kind and provided a perfect service. Food was excellent.

Featuring private open-air hot spring bath in all rooms, Isaribi is located in Hagashiizu, 2.7 km from Atagawa Hot Springs. Guests can savour Japanese breakfast and dinner in their rooms for some of the room types. The charming ryokan offers free WiFi and on-site parking. This was our 3rd visit since 2018 and remains our favourite ryokan! Love the private open air onsens!

Located a 5-minute drive from Gero Station, Kawakamiya Kasuitei offers traditional Japanese-style guestrooms featuring tatami (woven straw) flooring and hot spring baths in the Gero Onsen area. The property offers free on-site parking and free shuttle service from/to Gero Station. Free WiFi is provided at the lobby and free parking is available on site. Great traditional-style Ryokan. Walking distance from the town and there is on site parking. Large, clean rooms. Ample meals. Both an indoor and outdoor public bath. Right next to a flowing river. Very pleasant staff.

Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms include a seating area where you can relax. You will find a kettle in the room. Rooms include a private bathroom with a bath and shower, with slippers, free toiletries and a hair dryer provided. The 4 private onsens were great. Room was large and clean with great views. Staff was very helpful. Near bus stop and also you can do a nice hike to Joren falls.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. The property also provides free pick-up service from JR Takayama Station. Free shuttle bus service is available when check-in, check-out, after dinner. Our stay at Soy was amazing! Tai and his parents made us immediately feel at home. They are so nice and warm. The house is realy impressive.
