The hotel is on a very nice street in Kathmandu, in Thamel district. The room were nice, clean , spacious, with very good beds. The Wi-FI was great. The breakfast was very good, with a lot of different choices.

The Peacock Guesthouse is a most charming, heritage-rich, and truly special oasis in beautiful Bhaktapur. The staff are welcoming and kind. Their restaurant serves exquisite food. We dined at “home” each evening. We loved observing the colourful life in Dattatreya Square from our window perch. The breakfast is glorious. We savoured every moment of our time in this delightful gem.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s. We were very impressed by the kindness of the staff. They were always willing to help e.g. carrying the luggage, booking taxis and offering instructions and in room service. The hotel was a calm oasis around the chaotic city. The food was of high quality and the room service offered traditional dishes that were well made and comparably affordable. In general, the hotel has has a character and it is not commercialized.

My wife and I stayed at The Museum on the first two days of our ten-day trip to Nepal. This was our first time in Kathmandu, and staying at this place was just the great start we needed before heading towards Pokhara. The property is around 3km from Thamel, near the Office of the President of Nepal, in a quiet area. A bus service can take you to Thamel, but we preferred walking. The hotel is part of a compound with the restaurants Le Sherpa and Yakitori Hokkaido, a cafe, and other shops (wasn't interested as food is my strength!). There is also a Sikkimise restaurant outside the compound. We were happy with our room and the service the hotel provided us. In addition to that, we asked for help to book a bus ticket for Pokhara. Mr. Saroj was more than helpful and got us the ticket. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

Karma Boutique Hotel is set in the Thamel district in Kathmandu, 1 km from Hanuman Dhoka. Guests are offered the on-site restaurant. マネージャーのhospitalityはかなり高い。朝食はhotelから1分歩いた広いrestaurantなので、混み合うことは無い。定年前に、外国人の日本語教育に携わった経歴を話したら大歓迎してくれ、(ネパール人の)日本語の先生(N1レベル超)と、学生さんも交えて、日本料理店での夕食の機会が持てた。
