This was the highlight of our journey around Japan. It is a beautiful, friendly and welcoming place in the countryside. The staff and owner are lovely and made us feel very welcome and at ease from the beginning. The quality of the food is excellent. The room was also comfortable and spacious with access to the beautiful onsen. We came here with our two children and found plenty to do nearby. You will need to use a combination of taxis and trains, but there is plenty in the local area.

On the shores of Lake Ashinoko, Hakone Hotel offers hot spring public baths, free property-wide WiFi, beautiful nature views and restaurants serving French cuisine and Teppanyaki dishes.

Nice and classic ryokan in Hakone with astonishing view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji (in a clear day). Yes, the shuttle bus schedule is very limited and too bad we arrived when there's no bus schedule. We finally catch a cab near Motohakone port to go to ryokan. We hope there will be more rooms with private bath available. Overall, it's a very nice experience and we would love to go back again.

The capsule room is almost like a proper room, very spacious and cosy. The outdoor onsen was the highlight of my stay. The host is very kind and friendly and really cares for the guests. If I ever return, I won't look for other places.

Friendly and helpful staff, when i called for help, they even brought yukata to our room and taught us how to wear yukata. Dinner and breakfast has lots of variety.

Everything is awesome. Great view, well maintained property, beautiful landscape and garden, wide selection for dinner and breakfast, food is top notch and generous. Staff are well trained and professional.

Location is fantastic and super friendly staffs. The meal is AMAZING! Love the dinner and the breakfast, the food was so fresh definitely worth it! Totally recommended!!

Excellent amenities and services. We were also offered an upgrade to an apartment from our room. We were travelling a lot and use the room only to sleep, bath and relax a little bit after long days. So we have no clue about the restaurants. The parking is sufficient and the hotel is well placed to make trips in the surroundings. We felt very well treated.
