Staff is most welcoming and pleasant and their breakfast is amazing, especially the Japanese traditional version! Facilities are brand new and kept clean all the time.

Amazing location in the mountains of Nara (an easy bus ride from Oji station), the property surrounding the temple was just beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious traditional meals. Lots of vending machines on site. This was the highlight of our trip and we'd absolutely do it again.

Position is great, the staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful! The room was exactly as described, and the included public onsen was definitely a nice bonus!

It was a perfect spot for a first night in Japan. Would recommend it to anyone. The owner even waited for me till almost midnight as my flight had a bit of delay and wrote me using booking.

Kakimotoya is located near Mount Shigi, a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Oji Train Station.

Really special homely and welcoming ryokan, and so beautiful! Made my trip so special staying here and it was so lovely to make new friends here. Loveliest rooms (I stayed in 2 rooms because of how I booked it), cute little bar where I had such a delicious coffee in the morning, beautiful art on the walls and the most wonderful people working and living there.

Beautiful view of the mountains and the city. Very close to Osaka and so easy to get to. Rooms were large and clean. Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic.
