Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. We booked one of the deluxe rooms, it was beautifully furnished and decorated in Japanese style. The breakfast was amazing with many small dishes to sample and it was different the two days we were there. The Ryokan is on the main street to Zenko- ji temple with many lovely gift shops. Easily accessible to Nagano central by bus or a walk of around 25 minutes

Just returned from a two night stay in Nunoya Ryokan and can’t recommend it highly enough. The ryokan is in an excellent location, just steps away from restaurants, bakeries, a convenience store and shops. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

WOW! Staying at Maki's place (2 nights) has been one of our highlights of our 17 days trip to Japan. This accommodation secluded in the forest is FANTASTIC! We couldn't thank more Maki and her mom for showing us the traditional Japanese hospitality. Food and onsen are great!!!

We had an exceptional experience Futari Shizuka. The staff were very friendly and we had lovely Japanese ladies who personally showed us to our rooms and made tea for us, and offered local Japanese snacks. We had a lovely chat, albeit limited English from them. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, food and service were awesome! We had a birthday celebration and they prepared a lovely cake for us. We had such a wonderful stay that we are still reminiscing weeks after our trip.

Residence Yasushi se nachází v destinaci Nozawa Onsen. Lyžařský areál Ryuoo se nachází 22 km daleko a Opičí park Džigokudani 33 km. The town is charming, the staff was amazing and helped with everything, and the hotel was luxurious. We truly enjoyed our stay and the warm hospitality!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day se nachází v destinaci Nagiso a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na hory. Jen 9,1 km odtud je Otsumago. Our one night at Takimi House was the highlight of our two-week trip to Japan. The hosts, a lovely couple, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality were truly exceptional. The food was another standout aspect of our stay. Every meal was delicious, but the miso soup was particularly incredible. It was the best we’ve ever had! Additionally, the hosts picked us up and dropped us back off at the train station in Nagiso which was incredibly helpful given the remote location of Takimi House. This extra touch made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, Takimi House provided an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan.

Tanuki se nachází v samém srdci města Nozawa Onsen a nabízí tradiční ubytování v pokojích v japonském stylu s tatami (tkaná sláma). Všechny pokoje mají vlastní koupelnu, TV a Wi-Fi. Very nice hotel, right in the centre of Nozawa Onsen, with access from the main square. The facilities of our block were very new, everything was clean and the staff was very nice. We highly recommend it.

This Ryokan converted their traditional men's and women's baths into private baths that are great for couples or shy people. There's also a large public onsen next to the Ryokan you can use for free. Very good overall value for a traditional experience and foreigner friendly.
