Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!

My stay with Berna was truly very pleasant. I immediately felt at home, and the cozy room made me feel at home. The accommodation is perfect for a trip to the Irazú volcano. Everything is clean, and Berna is a very friendly host.

The cabins are so cute and I didn‘t expect them to be so well equipped. The nights get cold but the blankets are super warm and comfy. The view is splendid and the sunset and sunrise were magical. The owners are super friendly and very helpful. I‘d definitely stay there again!

    Cute little house close to Irazu Volcano National Park. It's a little old fashioned but had a well equipped kitchen. A good option for an early start at the volcano. Make sure you book entrance tickets to the volcano online in advance - they are not available on the gate.

    -A cute house with an amazing view -Fully equipped kitchen, incl. coffee machine + coffee -A heater to make the night more comfortable -We were happy that we could walk to a restaurant (Linda Vista) -Just 20mins drive from Irazu -Check-in and check-out were easy, we just provided the host with a time and she came to open and close the doors
