I loved how clean it was! It was all we needed for a cozy stay. We received the instructions prior to the arrival which were very clear on how to get the jacuzzi going. The water in jacuzzi was fresh as well! We also got the local chipper deliver to us while we were relaxing in the jacuzzi. Also it’s only a 15min walk to the local pub. Amazing stay, definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice city break and a private jacuzzi with amazing river Derry views.

Fantastic place to stay. Received our codes for the doors before our arrival. Once inside 2 badges per room were left on window sill. With these badges we could come and go as we pleased. This saved us having to tap in the codes each time. Rooms were spotless, Because we only stayed over for one night we didn't actually see anyone as we had to leave early the next morning.

We were in Berna's Cottage for nearly 2 weeks and from the moment we entered the cottage it felt like home. The Cottage is cosy and perfect in every way. Cathy and Paul are perfect hosts and give you the feeling of a warm welcome when you arrive. The view from breakfast/Diner room is stunning and nice to start your day with.(and ofcourse the rest of the day) Bunclody is a lovely town with all needed for all that visit Berna's Cottage. For those who want to walk in the Wicklow Mountains or do the Miners Walk at Glendalough, the Upper and Lower Lake: Hacketstown is a beautiful starting point. By car you are in your walking area within half an hour. By train from Carlow an hour to the heart of Dublin. The apartment above the Corner's Pub is approx. 100 m2, practical and well furnished for 2 to 4 people. The owners are the same owners of the pub downstairs, where you can also enjoy a nice meal. Everything around the same square: a supermarket, a takeaway, a pharmacy and a doctor's office. Highly recommended. We were completely happy with this apartment.

It was fitted out to a high standard with a lot of care taken. The facilities were great. Lovely big bathroom. Nice kitchen. The outdoor are was really beautiful.

The property is stunning and very tastefully furnished. There were two large comfortable sitting rooms,a lovely well equipped kitchen and a large bedroom with beautiful bed linen. The garden was extremely pleasant and the herd of sheep in view from the dining table was very restful as well as amusing.Our hostess was very welcoming and helpful and had provided us with a very generous welcome pack. It was in a very quiet location but once we had sorted out the local geography we easily found our way round the attractive countryside.
