I really Enjoyed the stay, even though the house itself is not very new. Inside, you will find everything you would need for a short stay, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, small bathroom, one bedroom, and the other bedroom for two additional guests is upstairs in the attic. There is also a living room with different board games available in the TV. The most memorable experience is of course, a hot tub, which is located outside the house on the patio, there is also a barbecue available for guests. A hot tub at is full of water and hot once you arrive, but  you can also add hot or cold water based on your needs. A truly amazing experience, sitting in a hot tub at night looking at a starry sky with no light pollution. We were even lucky enough to see northern lights. I can highly recommend this place.

Very nice place to stay in the west of Iceland. Quiet, spacious house, tidy, modern. The outside area is fenced it offers a nice little playground.

We did not quite understand from booking how the stay at the Gamli Baer would have been. We were greeted by this sweet Icelandic gentleman who immediately told us (with our total surprise) that he had prepared soup for us for dinner! He showed us to our rooms and brought us everything we needed, after which he waited for us down in the lounge for dinner , where we enjoyed a delicious soup in the company of another couple of travellers. A huge table typical of country house taverns awaits us. It feels like staying in one's grandparents' house, such a wonderful experience. In the morning for breakfast we find every good thing on the table, from whaffles to muslei to porridge to the typical Icelandic breakfast with skyr to homemade bread. It was also great to have breakfast with the other guests together and to exchange experiences. We really didn't miss anything! Thank you so much Saemi! There is even a jacuzzi in the garden. I highly recommend it to everyone :)
