Fantastic house! Lovely view down to the distant steaming river. Fabulous hot tub outside. Very comfortable beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms. Very kind, friendly and helpful host who lives in a house on the same site (with a very friendly and fluffy dog). Will definitely stay again.

Sam is an exceptional host who put lots of efforts into the maintenance of his historical farmhouse to create its cozy museum-like look and feel. Great location, amazing nature! At night the northern lights are clearly visible - wonderful! I can't thank the Hotel Manager enough! Iceland was experiencing unprecedented weather with -20 temperatures. We had booked a lodge with a hot tub but because of the cold, the pipes had frozen. Naturally we were disappointed, it was my 50th birthday and we had visions of seeing the Northern lights from the tub. The Hotel Manager went way above what we expected, he moved us to another lodge and personally oversaw the filling of the new hot tub, ensuring it reached the right temperature. At 9pm whilst in the tub we saw aurora borealis! What a memory! Thank you!
