Our stay at Gyedong Hanok 125 was truly exceptional. The spacious dining table easily fit our whole family, making meals and conversations a joy. The hanok is newly built yet fully equipped with modern amenities, so we enjoyed both the beauty of tradition and the comfort of convenience. The location is unbeatable—right on lively Gyedong-gil, with bakeries, cafés, gift shops, and restaurants just steps away. Major cultural spots like the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Museum of Korean Craft, and Insadong are all within walking distance. What made it unforgettable was relaxing in the courtyard patio, looking up at the pine tree while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. A rare oasis in the middle of Seoul. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic yet comfortable hanok stay.

I made a last minute reservation, but the host was very kind and helpful. The accommodation was bright, clean, and gave me a real travel vibe. There are plenty of things to do nearby and many great restaurants, plus it’s close to Dongdaemun. I’d love to stay here for two days on my next visit

Nice location, I was able to roam the city by foot and get back late at night feeling safe (woman alone). Being able to drop off my bag early to enjoy the city hands free was a huge comfort. The place was very clean and the free ramen, coffee and ice water dispenser where the icing on the cake.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Stay 42 Dongmyo in Seoul. The accommodation was excellent and located in a very convenient part of the city, making it easy to get around. Our host, Jini, was absolutely amazing – extremely helpful, providing us with all the information we needed, and above all, she was the embodiment of genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to return to Seoul and will definitely choose this place again.

Very cozy, clean and nice place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Absolutely loved the interior, very cute. Great location near bus stops and metro, the neighborhood is quiet and not crowded, but there are many cafes. The host is very supportive and sweet! Definitely will choose this place if come to Seoul again!
