The location was perfect, lovely short stroll to the beach. Cleanliness was 100% so much attention to detail with the cleaning. Loved the books and puzzles for our children and the buckets and spades were a godsend as we had forgotten ours! Crispy clean white sheets and towels made for a very comfortable sleep. The decor was fresh and had little decor touches that made it feel very homely whilst in keeping with the kiwi bach beach vibe, would definitely recommend for families and would book here again when we return!

Beautiful location, walked to the beach and watched the sunrise every morning. Not far from attractions, and did a lovely hike to cathedral cove from property. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed & clean room. Had such a special stay and would love to return one day.

    We absolutely LOVED our stay at Hahei Hideout Retreat and will definitely be back! We went with another couple and it was the perfect space for a relaxed, mid-winter weekend away, plus in the perfect location for adventuring around the Coromandel. Super clean, well presented, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The fresh herb garden and little adventure trail down through the garden were added bonuses too!

    The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it. They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too. They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

    The view from the property is stunning, the beds are so comfortable and the showers are great. The kitchen is great and being able to eat outside with such a great view is just so relaxing. The location is amazing, 5 minutes from the beach and the welcome note and chocolates were a lovely gesture too, fully recommend!

    Fantastic little stand alone cottage, separate bedroom, and great bathroom. There's space for sitting out the front surrounded by garden and everything you need for making simple meals in the kitchenette. All within walking distance of the beach and a couple of good places to eat. Excellent stay!

    Very comfortable, clean cottage in quiet location with everything we needed. Very comfy bed, decent shower and essentials in kitchen if your'e not eating out. Short walk to beach and local shop/restaurants. Beautiful beach and close to some stunning alternatives plus walking options. Should have stayed 1 week to explore area further.
