The photos online look so good so I was hesitant to book suspecting "its too good to be true". I am so happy we took the gamble and booked because the place looks exactly how it looks online. Some services they offer are not even listed online; they offer so much more and yes there is hot water 😁! Location is right as you get into Lira or head back to Kampala so very convenient. The home is nested inside a quiet, secure and private gate with a paved compound and a balcony with seats. We got to Lira late and exhausted and we were warmly welcomed to a clean and beautiful home. Dickens the caretaker sourced dinner for us - thank you. Brenda is such an amazing host; she went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Brenda sourced a driver for me and when I asked how much? She replied "we just want to help you" - thank you Brenda. Dickens is absolutely amazing. He will attend to you with a smile at all times and no request is too big for him; he always wants to help. Thank you for hosting us in your happy, safe, private and clean home - we enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves! See you next time. Key points: Communication was so smooth; very responsive host and caretaker. Booking was easy and straightforward. We had electricity throughout our stay. There is WiFi in all rooms and even when one is in the compound. The house is cleaned for you any time you want. Help with running errands is readily available and we were not charged at all. Your space and privacy is fully respected. Whole home is yours so truly home away from home.

Brenda is a wonderful host, very understanding, professional and friendly. We were the first people to stay at this particular property, which meant that all the linen, furniture, kitchen utensils, etc were spotlessly clean. The property is off the beaten track, which is exactly what we wanted, as we were exploring Uganda by road - we could walk around and experience local life. Dickens, the caretaker, looked after us really well and helped to get provisions (like vegetables, etc).
