The best part was the host Sergio who took us for a great driving tour of surrounding historical sites, a wonderful cave church covered with frescoes, the Palomba sculpture garden filled with Antonio Paradiso's work and a walk along the gravina to visit rock hewn caves. And he took us to the best foccacia bakery of Matera....

We were a group of 3 families with 2 cars and enjoying beautiful heritage of Matera. Also, easy visited Alberobello and LoccoRotondo. Accomodation is 10 minutes walk from the old city, offering secured parking place, large dorms and utiled kitchen, quiet neighborhood. Comfortable place to stay when visited Materra.

It’s spacious, clean and comfortable within walking distance to the city centre. The host is very nice and allowed us place the luggage in the apartment before check in time. She herself did the cleaning thoroughly. The apartment is well equipped and allows us place the utensils are in good quality.

Beautiful and very clean appartment and we really like the welcoming cake and sweets. The appartment is nicely decorated to a very high standard, and Margherita was very helpful and kind.

Very friendly and communicative host, including great advice for parking, along with clearly communicating when they'd be changing the towels / sheets, which they did twice through my week's stay. Overall fantastic service, a lovely apartment in a fantastic central location for the Sassi.
