Simply outstanding. Wonderful owner, glorious location. The food and drink is top quality and the staff are all incredible. The pool is heated to 24 degrees, nothing nicer than a swim after a long walk on the Schatz mountain.

Excellent place to stay in Tirol. Well located, clean and cosy, rooms renovated very recently. They managed to combine modern and traditional aspects, and the place is really cosy. There is also a restaurant, so in the evening you can eat there. Friendly staff.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

The bed and breakfast was absolutely incredible. I had such a lovely stay. The room was beautiful, cosy and very clean- and it was tidied each day which was lovely to come home to after a day of hiking! The breakfast each morning also quickly became a real highlight. Each morning we were treated to an incredible spread for breakfast- fresh bread, cheeses and meats, fresh fruit, yogurt and muesli, eggs, fresh coffee… just wow! The family that run the b&b are so lovely. Thank you so much Christine and family for your warmth and incredible hospitality! I will be back again soon- maybe in the winter this time!

Great breakfast, nice pool, but mostly the team/family was super friendly, warm and made you feel very welcome!

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Staff were so friendly! Ski bus goes from directly outside the hotel in any case it’s only a short walk to the town. Ski storage facilities as well. Dinner in the hotel is also amazing value and very good. Brilliant stay and would recommend!
