Simply outstanding. Wonderful owner, glorious location. The food and drink is top quality and the staff are all incredible. The pool is heated to 24 degrees, nothing nicer than a swim after a long walk on the Schatz mountain.

Excellent place to stay in Tirol. Well located, clean and cosy, rooms renovated very recently. They managed to combine modern and traditional aspects, and the place is really cosy. There is also a restaurant, so in the evening you can eat there. Friendly staff.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

We stayed in a spacious cozy apartment with two rooms — kitchen/studio space and bedroom. Both rooms were connected by one wooden balcony facing incredible green fields and grazing animals, perfect for breakfasts, wine or yoga, whatever you prefer :) The kitchen had all the appliances you need, the bed was very comfortable and the temperature was just appropriate. I have to mention the ladies working in the hotel, who were incredibly nice and welcoming! Great place to stay in and a great saver!
