It is a family-friendly hotel with a family-like atmosphere. The owner (and staff) were very communicative in many languages and always willing to help. We were positively surprised by the size of the family room (especially the second floor for kids). The equipment of the rooms is a bit simple (but adequate for the category and position of the hotel), but the owner was always able to provide some solution - e.g. there was no kettle in the room, she immediately provided a thermos with hot water. Similarly, the breakfasts - not so wide range of options was provided directly, but the owner was always ready to help. We loved the location - Bettmeralp was refreshingly calm and provided a perfect escape from the hot temperatures of this July, the views (which included Matterhorn in the distance) were great. Trails and cable car stations were nearby. Kids loved the hotel and the village (and Aletschgletscher) and expressed their wish that we spend at least one month there next time.

This traditional 3-star hotel in the car-free village of Bettmeralp offers panoramic views of the Valais Alps and the Matterhorn. The Bettmeralp cable car is only 400 metres away.

Nice, cozy, very friendly, clean, nice breakfast with a good selection of tea and coffee, perfect for families with kids (playroom). Also a good location in the center of the village.

The chalet was in a perfect location and had everything we needed. The resort was lovely and local amenities easily accessible. A COOP supermarket a few minutes walk away and a smaller supermarket a few doors away. Would highly recommend.

Great location. Accessible with a stroller - no stairs on the way. The apartment had everything we needed for a three night family stay. Kitchen well equipped. Everything clean and working well. The hosts were very attentive and responded quickly to all our questions/requests.
