Lovely hotel with clean amenities in a beautiful area. I stayed here to visit Lake Oeschinen and it was perfect, close by to the cable cart and I also received discount through hotel for the cable cart. Great breakfast. Nice staff. Would highly recommend and revisit in the future.

We simply loved our staying on the apartment. Everything was super well organized, cleaned and the view which you have from the apartment to the mountains is just amazing. One of the owners welcomed us very well, very polite and friendly. And at our checkout, we met the other owner who was also very friendly and talked about the region with us, tips on when to return, etc. The pictures I added was the view from our main door. One of the best apartment we stayed.

Loved the feel of this hotel! It was like a house with plenty of room for the whole family. Very family friendly! They had a playground right outside that we could watch the kids playing from the balcony. The views are incredible and the food at the restaurant was amazing! Also it its steps ( literally steps) from the lift that takes you to the mountain coaster and Oeschinen lake which was a highlight of our entire 2 week Europe vacation!

The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by a large park. You will find a cheerful and familiar atmosphere combined with the best Swiss hotel tradition.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I had no difficulties communicating only in English. The location was perfect, only a 2 minute walk from the train station. The breakfast buffet was served in a beautiful dining room with tall ceilings, with views of the mountains from the windows. Breakfast included a hot ‘English breakfast’ style selection, a cold ‘Swiss style’ cheese, meats and fruits section, a variety of breads and cereals and coffee machine/variety of teas. I was able to leave my luggage here during the day after checkout with no problems. The wifi was efficient.

The Hotel Alpina is a child- and family-friendly hotel with a big garden in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland.
