Hotel La Fontana is great choice if you stay in Stresa. About 20 minutes walk to the center of the town, beautiful garden and great outdoor swiming pool. Plenty space for parking. Nice breakfast, kind staff. We were very satisfied.

Villa Sofia is the perfect place for exploring Lake Maggiore. Situated in the small and quiet town of Baveno, it is a several minutes drive from the lake and Stresa. The villa itself is very elegant and comfortable, with a nice garden and beautiful view over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Manuela, our host, was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend Villa Sofia.

The room was actually new apartment with all needed amenities. Hotel is situated very close to the city centre and the lake shore. Great starting point for visiting Borromeo islands. Restaurants, coffee bars and shops are all nearby. And on the top - hotel offers also a garage for some extra money - very much welcomed. And yes, not to forget - very friendly hosts.
