We liked the service, the hotel and the location itself. The arrival itself was great. The owner of the hotel personally navigated us to the parking space. Although it was not far from the hotel, he arranged for the luggage to be transported even to the hotel door. The welcome was very warm. A very well-equipped room with a view of the mountains and the river, which acoustically created a great atmosphere. Very good breakfast with an offer of local yogurts. The owner, as a good local expert, provided very practical advice for our cycling trip. If we ever come back to Tirana again, we will definitely choose the same hotel - I'm sure there is simply no better place in the city.

Ostello del Castello is the one lodging that gave us the most pleasure during our long journey in many different hotels/holiday homes/etc. in the summer. The whole building has a history of 600 years, yet all the creature comfort facilities are new and work smoothly. In a typical old building like this, I would have expected the doors and wooden floor to squeak when you move around, none of those here! Everything works perfectly. We had the most peaceful night in many days. If Andrea tells you that he is like a piece of furniture of the hotel and always there, that is true. Actually he is more like the room-of-requirement in HP: when you have a wish, he is there at once to fulfill it, with a smile. The breakfast was so delicious, with all the usual stuff (cereal etc.) and unusally delicious stuff: scrambled eggs, joghurt, fruits, prociutto, cheese, home-baked cake, etc. etc. The whole house is decorated beautifully. Every corner you look, there is something cute to discover. I couldn't stop making photos! There is even a inner court with a playground. The kids loved it and could stay here forever.

We was there on May 24. The location is right next to the Bernina train station. The interior design of this property is even more comfortable than what appears in the photos.
