Mohamed is a great host. We walked from Imlil to be greeted by him outside his cafe at the edge of the village. He gave us tea and made a delicious tagine before we headed to the property. The property was very clean with a nice warm shower. Mohammed was a great host and would sit and laugh with us for hours. We decided to stay a second night as we enjoyed his company and the property so much. He cooked a great breakfast and gave us some snacks for our day of walking. On the second night he took us down into another village in the valley that you probably wouldn’t visit to have tea with his friend. We stayed for the night on our run/walk from Imlil to Tacheddirt (self organised and without a guide). Hassan and his son were such lovely hosts. The terrace had beautiful views and all the food was great. They gave us a tasty sandwich packed lunch. In April it was a little cold at night so Hassan put on the log burner in the upstairs sitting room and we had the option of eating inside. This is a unique stay in the highest village in North Africa and felt far away from the heavy tourism of other areas. A small shop was open for a short time during our stay. We got a bottle of water from Hassan but also water and sweets from the shop.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! The location in the mountains is absolutely stunning – like a dream. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The place is quiet and the view is wonderful. The owner of the place Mr. Lahssein is very friendly. You feel like he is a member of your family because of his good treatment and kind words. An excellent place to clear your mind in the middle of the mountains.
