We really enjoyed our stay in Kalix Riverside Inn. It is a unique family owned swedish place where a lot of effort and care has been put in. We stayed in the house on top of the hill with a shared sauna in front. Room and bathroom were very clean, decoration was very original with a great vintage taste and kitchen was super well equipped, including oil, salt, tea and basics which are always a really nice detail. The hosts are very kind, providing us many self made booklets of things to do around the area. Breakfast was great with views to the river and the bird life. We also loved dinner in the evening. Products are local and were delicious. We would really recommend staying here for an authentic nature experience supporting family owned businesses! Hopefully we can come back in the summer!

A lovely well-equipped refurbished old timber house, in a sleepy village just outside of Kalix. A great place for our group of six to rest while travelling between northern Norway and Helsinki - standard as described. Could be a great base for anybody who likes being away from the crowds and wants to explore the area around the north of the Baltic Sea.

Situated 250 metres from the Kalix River, this hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Kalix Bus Station. Private parking and WiFi are free.

If you are staying in Kalix this is definitely the hotel you should choose for a memorable experience. We thought it was a fabulous place to stay. The hosts are very friendly generous people who make sure you enjoy your stay. Their staff are also happy to help with anything you need. The buffet breakfast offers a delicious selection of cold and hot foods with excellent cheeses and meats, fresh bread (including a warm, tasty gluten free option), cereals, yoghurt, fruit and much more. The bacon and scrambled eggs was hot and beautifully cooked. We ate lunch there as well and it was very good value for very fine food. And good coffee too. The hotel itself is traditional Swedish and with very stylish decor, cosy and comfy. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the smart TV had many options for English speakers and there were two comfy chairs to relax in. The location is great, a short walk to many types of shops, restaurants, the river and the bus station. Kalix is a very convenient town to get around. Thank you to our hosts and their staff. You made our stay very enjoyable.

Had a fantastic overnight with our family of 6 in Lea's igloo. The igloo is very cosy and well laid out. The sauna section was fantastic and easy to use. There were some lovely outdoor toys available for our kids to play and a delicious breakfast box.We were very lucky that the clouds cleared during the night and we woke up to the aurora-amazing to see. Lea was a fantastic host and very responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Petr is a very pleasant and helpful person, and he made me feel very welcome here. The house itself was very taken care of, it was clean, he had prepared new towels for me, the bed was comfortable, and it was nice and warm inside - something I very much appreciated as it was -20⁰C outside at the time. :D Overall a great experience!

The staff could not of been more helpful, Ellen in the restaurant was so polite and lovely. the girls on reception were also so professional and polite ( I forgot to get their names) the hotel itself is very comfortable with spacious rooms and good facilities. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is exceptional! the breakfast spread is very versatile with every option you can think of. The hotel location is perfect for exploring kalix and is right beside the river which Is beautiful to walk on. Thank you to all the staff for your help with everything during our stay.
