The air-conditioned accommodation is 16 km from Mount Ruapehu, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 16 km from Taranaki Falls. Fantastic location near to the four squares, and the equipment rental shop (Ski Biz I believe). The apartment was so cosy and well ventilated with large windows! The dry pantry was well equipped with herbs and condiments.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. Clean spacious room and bathroom. Well located. The lady on reception was really friendly and explained the local area and walks.

The Ruapehu Park Hotel is at the foot of a large ski field and volcano at Mt Ruapehu. It is surrounded by two other famous mountains Ngauruhoe and Tongariro.

The natural setting around the Lodge is ideal for mountain biking, rafting, hiking, rock climbing, fishing or relaxing in thermal springs. The location, the facilities. GOOD SERVICE.

Situated within 16 km of Taranaki Falls and 22 km of Whakapapa in National Park, Tongariro Estate provides accommodation with seating area. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 16 km from Mount Ruapehu. The apartment features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.

Guests at the apartment can enjoy skiing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. The apartment we stayed in was toasty warm, with beautifully clean beds, bathrooms and kitchen. Parking was right outside and finding the place is a breeze. It also had all the little touches that make things easier, for example the kitchen had not just ample cooking equipment, but also basic condiments, sugar, salt oil...etc). Great hosts, they were super responsive, helpful and kind when contacted. We will definitely stay here again.

Ski storage space is available on site and skiing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Comfortable, well-stocked, clean, felt new. Proximity to groceries and to the couple restaurants that were open (we came in the off-season). And Mary was amazing!

Set in National Park, Mountain Heights Lodge offers six self-contained motel units and four ensuite B&B rooms, BnB rooms welcomes children over the age of 14 and above. Private parking is free.

The nearest airport is Taupo Airport, 78 km from Mountain Heights Lodge. The hostess was accommodating and cheerful. The room was clean (a bit worn), and functional. It is located about 15 minutes from the National Park. When our track was rained out they were able to accommodate us again on short notice!
