although it looked dated, it was well kept spotlessly clean and backed by a Vert attentetive team. the set meal was good food and the breakfast was good. very good value for money.

This is excellent place to stay. Everything is very clean and well organised. Staff is very helpful and professional. That goes also for the staff at the restaurant that is just amazing! What a great food and so well arranged. If you are near Wels go just for the restaurant, you will enjoy it! There is also a choise of home made jams, liquors and other products. I highly recommend Gasthof Maxlhaid.

Beautiful clean rooms with comfortable beds, very good breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is ok, very peaceful place. Really had a wonderful stay.

Very nice hotel located on the hill under the forest. lady at reception spoke english, german and polish - she was very friendly and explained us all arrangements. hotel served dinner with buffet system - this is the one the only point i'm not fully satisfied - the quality of dinner (i find) is not so high. breakfast was good. hotel bar served good beers from local ones to selected german ones.

This traditional 4-star hotel, which is almost 500 years old, is directly located at the confluence of the rivers Steyr and Enns in the historic old town of Steyr.
