We had a fantastic time at the Sundancer! We’ve been there for four nights and didn’t want to leave. Everything was great. Beautiful and very clean accomodation which is well maintained. This is the best resort I have ever visited. Their staff are friendly, breakfast is good and the sea beach and the mountains from the resort are very beautiful. You can relax on the beach or enjoy a mocktail in the restaurant with a view of the sea and mountains. Hendi is a great host who tries his best to ensure you have a great stay. The room is exactly as seen in the pictures - very basic, but if you’re looking for an authentic experience of island life on Gili Gede then this is it! The location is right on the beach in the middle of the local’s village. There’s some Warungs near by otherwise you can walk 20 mins to the other side of the island where there’s a variety of places to eat.

We spent 4 days at the Amber Lombok Beach Resort in January 2025 – and we wish we could have stayed longer. From the customer service to the cleanliness to the quality of the food at the restaurant, everything was perfect. In rainy season it can take around an hour to reach the resort from the airport, travelling through picturesque rice fields as well as small villages. When you arrive, you can enjoy the fact that there are no other hotels around and it's not a highly developed part of the island. The tranquil location was ideal for a very relaxing break. Especially with our villa's private pool (the main pool also looked very nice, but we didn't try it out). The beach was pristine and also very quiet, giving us the chance to enjoy beautiful serene sunsets. We also very much appreciated the eco-friendly measures the resort has put in place. This was a significantly cleaner and more preserved place to visit that other parts of Indonesia. Thank you to the wonderful staff and especially Rina (Guest Relations) for always taking extra effort to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. I hope to come back again one day.
