This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

Incredible stay - perfect balance between a luxury stay in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities, and exceptional experience/immersion which makes it different from all other hotels. You can "dose" it how you like: if you want to use this only as a charming boutique hotel, you can, as the location is incredible, service is excellent (shuttle service to parking lot, adorable staff, delicious breakfast and aperitif, great room, incredible cave thermal pool). If however you want to experience something different and take advantage of the immersive experience (and you are never pushed to do so), it's very well done and gives you a really different "stay" that you will remember.

Great location, its a renovated tower with wonderful views of the old city. The rooms are wonderful, offering quiet and privacy, well equipped, coffee machine, fridge with complimentary water/ refreshments, breakfast is fresh with focaccia and croissants from a local bakery. A truly hidden gem!!!

Best location, great place to stay. Good communication from host. Beautiful apartment, very well equipped. Please note, parking is about 700m from apartment and luggage needs to be carried to apartment. This was still worth the effort and we enjoyed the great view and stay very much. Highly recommended.

A fabulous place to stay. Comfortable bed. Brilliant location in the sassy or old town. I enjoyed walking around but recommend comfortable shoes and an easy to manage suitcase…you’ll be going uphill and downhill to get around.

Beautiful, calm, place, excellent staff and luxurious breakfast. I was surprised how quiet and safe it is in the middle of the tourist part of the city. I would love to come back.
