The hotel is a short walk from the JR train station and the bus station. The staff was very helpful and patient at all times. Our room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were available and much appreciated. The onsen on the 9th floor was great and also free. The dinner we had there one evening was delicious. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby. We would come again.

Amazing rooms for the price. Couldnt believe my eyes when I entered our hotel room. The free spa section at the second floor was a really nice surprise. Location for the hotel is perfect. Literally two minutes to the 1200 year old ginkgo tree and 5 minutes to Takayama restaurant & bar district. 10 minutes to old town. Excellent laundry service 2 minutes from the hotel.

Absolutely everything. The kind staff who even spoke English to help us, free welcome drinks upon checkin, huge warm room with every amenity you could imagine. But best of all was the free private onsens on the top floor! There are 4, so usually high chance you will find one free. I was able to enjoy the onsen with my boyfriend under the sky and stars. Just perfect. Breakfast was also great and the hotel location is just 5 mins walk from the main JR station and about 15 mins walk from the old town.

Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, Spa Hotel Alpina offers a spa and open-air hot-spring baths with scenic views. Free WiFi is available in all areas.

Onsen was very good. Not crowded, in perfect condition, with a nice view. Pay attention to the fliers in lobby - we found nice exhibition in a local cafe.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything was great, the food was good, the view breath-taking, the rooms spacious and the hotel had a lovely retro vibe to it. The Onsen were incredible.
