Golden Crown Kandy wasn't just luxurious, it was a breath of fresh air. My spacious room was sparkling clean and the view of endless greenery instantly melted away the city stress. The location, while peaceful and serene, didn't compromise on convenience. The reception staff was incredibly helpful, and I especially appreciated a team member named Taranga who went the extra mile to assist them, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests. If you're seeking a luxurious escape steeped in nature, Golden Crown Kandy is a gem!

The room was located in a peaceful area of the property, ensuring a restful and uninterrupted stay. The breathtaking views, well-maintained property, and warm hospitality were the highlights of our stay. The breakfast spread was delicious and had a good variety of options. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, offering stunning natural surroundings.

This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!

This hotel was a lovely surprise, beautiful, incredible staff, the best food! Especially the breakfast. It's 30 min away from Kandy but the peace, the nature, it's very much appreciated. And it's easy to request a tuk tuk to take you to the city.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Meenawatta Estate, the resort is a true sanctuary for those seeking tranquility, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and care. A special thank you to Sachini (Front Office Executive) whose exceptional support throughout our stay made everything seamless. Her attention to detail and dedication to guest comfort truly elevated our entire experience. The design of the hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and nature. Surrounded by pristine landscapes, the property is immaculately maintained, with stunning gardens, flowering plants, and breathtaking mountain views in every direction. The air is fresh, the atmosphere peaceful—it’s the perfect escape from the busy world. One of the standout features of the resort is the infinity pool, offering a surreal experience as you swim above the forest canopy with panoramic views of the misty hills stretching endlessly beyond. I found myself returning to this spot every morning and evening—each moment more magical than the last. As part of their offering, the hotel provides a free guided tour around the surrounding area, which is a must. Walking through the tea gardens and forest paths, discovering the local flora and fauna, and soaking in the serene beauty of nature made me fall even more in love with this place. The restaurant deserves a five-star rating of its own. The food was consistently outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Yatawara for his incredible hospitality and service. He went above and beyond to make each meal a delight, and his warmth made every dining experience feel personal and memorable.

Mahesh and his family were wonderful. I think I had the best cup of tea I have ever had. The room was comfy and clean. We loved our stay, we could not recommend it more.

The property is absolutely breathtaking, situated within the mountain ranges, and is the perfect setting for getting grounded, resetting and positioning yourself for tranquility and calmness. The property is simple in and of itself - one pool, single dining area for all meals, spa, yoga venue, but if you want to venture out, you can join the excursions both far and near the property. The staff was amazing - Sri Lankan hospitality is unparalleled; everyone we met was so friendly, warm, attentive and high-touch to our needs.
