Everything was perfect! The staff were friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile. The food was delicious, the drinks were well balanced and tasty! The design of the tents is absolutely beautiful! Our ranger, Buddi and driver, Laky were so knowledgeable and great. Shashika our cutest co-ordinator was lively and surprised us with an anniversary dinner at the beach.

Fabulous luxury lodges with very large covered decks set in a very peaceful rural setting close to Yala and close to the beach. A very calming, tranquil place to stay. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable.. The bathroom is as large as many hotel rooms in itself and the additional outside cold shower is a very unusual touch. (And the indoor shower is excellent, too.) The lodges are arranged to enhance privacy and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The roof top swimming pool has a beautiful view over the sea and the food is excellent. Monkeys sometimes visit the grounds, as do a few cows and even occasionally an elephant - though not when we were there. A wide variety of birds surround you in the trees. The manager arranged an excellent half day safari to Yala for us with a very knowledgeable guide.

Mandara Resort is located in the south of Sri Lanka, about 37 km from Yala National Park. This tropical resort comes with an outdoor pool, 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi in its public areas.

The room was very comfortable and situated facing the orchard (mango trees) in natural surroundings. Monkeys swinging from trees to trees was a great sight.
