The location is so central, and you couldn't get a better ocean view. Bed was comfy, and it was nice to have the inverter in case needed. It is very Cozy and Comfy & you can watch tv in the lounge as there is a bed along with one in the cozy bedroom.

Great property and fabulous staff! We also had dinner twice at the hotel - the Curry Feast ( called a buffet but was an amazing feast) and Ala carte menu - also excellent!

Beautiful apartment, feels like home the minute you step in👍. The apartment is very modern, clean and the lady who comes in to service the apartment, beautiful smile and friendly, very helpful with stuff we didn't know💯 Highly recommend this beautiful apartment. We liked the safety aspect, at the gate. Not to forget DAVID who greeted us with such a warm smile in the parking and offered his help. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF ON SITE

Vicinity to the mall and it is very clean. The property is also secure with access control.

Staff : From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. They went over-and-above to serve and please. Swimming Pool : The big pool was heated ! It made such a huge difference to my experience. Took a dip early in the morning and it was just lovely to walk into a warm pool. The pool boys were very attentive and helped with umbrellas, sunbeds, supply of free water bottles etc. Breakfast : This was exceptional. A very big variety to choose from. You can also order from a menu. It was the same breakfast & layout each morning, but we never got tired of it ! The staff were also very quick to bring the best coffees and warm toast....plus there is champagne at breakfast each morning. This was a feast ! Room : All rooms have a sea-view, also overlooking the pool and the sea. The coffee machine (with pods) & cookies in the room was of very good quality and replenished twice a day. The turn-down-service in the evenings were also a nice feature and we received a different chocolate and fresh water bottles each evening. The towels in the bathroom were extra thick ! SPA : The Mangwanani Spa is small, but there are 2 gazebo's next to the swimming pool area where we had a couples massage. Security : We felt very safe. There is a security guard at the steps leading down from the swimming pool grass area down to the Umglanga Promenade. People walk & jog on this 2.5 km route from early morning. The Parkrun also starts next to the hotel (at the Whalebone Pier)....which was so convenient. We could also park our rental car behind booms inside the hotel parking area. Other : There is a meet-and-greet every weekday evening between 5pm and 6pm...and again this is such a nice extra to drink a glass of wine before dinner.

It was a birthday gift to a family member and I mentioned the special occasion in my booking. My family were excited to receive a welcome basket of goodies for their birthday and a room that was sea facing. The Manager called them personally to invite them to a complimentary dinner but they were full from the delicious goody basket. They were then offered a complimentary breakfast and were very happy with the range of vegetarian foods that was provided to cater for them. The hotel more than exceeded our expectation in terms of making it special for the family member. Will definitely stay at Coastlands when we visit South Africa again.

The property is new, clean and spacious! The rooms and bathrooms are generous in size, giving you enough space to unpack your stuff and store it in the wardrobes. The room is also equipped with many plug points and usb ports to change multiple devices at once. The staff were always helpful and friendly. As a solo traveller, I felt reassured by the card only access to the floors on which rooms were located, meaning people couldn’t wonder about the hotel randomly. The carpark also provides safety for your rental vehicle.

As an architect I was pleasantly at all the details of this lovely hotel. The rooms were amazing, the views just incredible, the attention to detail- and the staff‘s effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable was really nice.
