Golden wooden beams rose elegantly toward floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the space with light. The design balanced traditional Chinese motifs with a hint of contemporary flair. Our suite carried the same sense of indulgence. Spacious and serene, it came with a powder room, a rain shower room, and yet another bathroom featuring a bathtub so deep it felt more like a private onsen. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Xi’an skyline, and the room itself exuded calm luxury. That evening, we dined at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. Every dish felt like a celebration. The abalone was delicate and rich, the fiery Sichuan-style beef casserole set our taste buds dancing, and the dim sum—bite-sized parcels of flavour—were a revelation. By the time I ended the night with a spa treatment, I felt blissfully pampered, refreshed, and ready for the final chapter of our holiday.
