This was the most pleasant and unique places I ever stayed at. So worth the short drive out of the city

Ken and Alejandra are some of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. They also serve an organic breakfast with food items grown in their farm. They also provide services for massage and yoga if you need. They are the best. If you need a place to wind down and relax this is the place.

Set within lush tropical gardens just a 20-minute drive from San José Airport, Hotel Bougainvillea San José offers a large outdoor pool, tennis courts and a gym. Enjoyed the restaurant space, the large windows allow light to enter. the variety of the food was good. Liked the breakfast juice and fruit selections. Steak at dinner was excellent. Staff were all friendly, courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The decor in the hotel is bright and colourful. Loved the gardens.

Very nice place, within the nature. The restaurant terrace looks over a frog pond. Many birds fly around in the morning, frogs start to sing in the evening. you can see plenty of them if you look closely.
