Location is great. Victor and Jaime are great hosts and make delicious food.
The rooms are very clean, spacious and sealed from jungle critters! Our bathroom was lovely and the showers were piping hot. We were able to walk into town and a boat was also available if needed. We took advantage of the free kayaks and saw lots of wildlife in the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary breakfast everyday and enjoyed a couple of dinners there too, the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and supported us with the next leg of our trip. A wonderful stay!
Martha & her family did everything to make our 3 nights stay as good as possible. The bungalow was spacious, had nice hammocks on its balcony and clean bathroom. The location was ideal: close to nice highlights in Rio Dulce with kayak, while you could fully relax at Casa Maya.
Beautiful place, nice spot to relax. 10Q$ for 3 hours of kayak is a good deal
What a little paradise 😍 It's tranquil, romantic, and fully facilitated. You won't need nor want to be anywhere else but sit here and relax. Though you can easily use it as a jump off for tours and activities if you want to. The staff will gladly arrange whatever you please 😙 Lastly, make sure to get one of Silvia's massages if you get the chance. If you weren't relaxed yet after everything on offer, you inevitably will be after this! ❤️
Friendly, helpful staff and a nice welcome / communal space. Good breakfast and we liked being able to bring our own food but get cold, well-priced beers on site!
Good breakfast and nice relaxing location. Close to other restaurants and dropped directly at the jetty from the boat.
The laidback calm relax atmosphere. Nice staff and great biodiversity. The food and the shared dinner. One of the better hostels we ever stayed in..just realize it's luxury but basic as you stay in a remote place in nature
Located along the river, with a beautiful garden and communal space. I love the concept of family style dinners, where it is easy to socialise with others and share an amazing (vegetarian) meal together! The menu changed every day, and I loved all 4 dinners and breakfasts that I had. Produce is sourced locally, sweet owners that like to chat and help organise tours. One of my highlights of my Guatemala trip.
This is one of the most popular places to stay in Livington, and we understand why! It's really a great place. Hanging out on the hammocks is relaxing. The staff is super sweet and the space is great for meeting new people. The internet is decent, but only available in the common area. The room was a little snug, but it was fine for what we paid. The food was also great. Good value for the money overall.
