Amazing hotel - location is perfect, just 3-4 minutes walk from Kyoto Station, so very convenient to check in and out not rushing for Shinkansen. Separately would mention breakfast - that is something special! Big variety of different meals for each taste including traditional Japanese cuisine, everything is super delicious.

Breakfast is available, and includes buffet, continental and Full English/Irish options. We had no expectations out of Good Nature Hotel, but it was an amazingly pleasant surprise! First, it is conveniently located near bus and train stations, very close to Kyoto station too. It is within walking distance from Nishiki Market, which is a must-visit while in Kyoto (first or 45th time, you have to go). The hotel itself is VERY pretty, as soon as you enter the lobby you feel immersed in the eco-friendly and peaceful atmosphere they've achieved to create. The room was incredibly spacious and very tastefully decorated; this was one of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed at.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can refresh in the public bath. Shijo and Karasuma Station are both within a 10-minute walk away.

The restaurant serves a Japanese breakfast in a traditional modern decor. Meals feature local ingredients including Kyoto vegetables. The room was the best that I stayed in in Japan. The room was well sized, aesthetically pleasing with a Japanese feel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was also set with drip coffee and a selection of teas. The Onsen, only for hotel guests, was also free and available anytime between 3pm and 9am. This was arguably the best part of my stay! The Onsen was always empty when I went (around 9pm) and I could sit and relax in the lounge area after my bath, which was wonderful! The hotel is also very central and surrounded by incredible restaurants.
