The lady of the house does all the cooking and we had the best breakfast and dinner of the whole holiday, We also went on the jeep safari organised by the hotel. What we loved the most was the bathroom with tiles in tigers🩷 We arrived in the evening and there was a delicious dinner waiting for us made by the host, who was incredibly hospitable and fed us throughout our stay. The food was delicious. He also organised a safari along with provisions for the journey. All in all, I highly recommend this place, there is also an elephant orphanage nearby and everything is surrounded by a wealth of nature 💚💚💚💚🌴

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. City Elephant is ideally situated for getting to the park, right on the main drag through town. The owners are super friendly. My room was large with a good bed and good AC. The restaurant out by the street looks unassuming, but DO eat there...these guys cook beautifully. I had a rice/curry lunch that was just lovely.

Very nice and friendly host. We were met with tea and bananas - it's so important after a long way. This place in Udalawawe has fair price because when we were trying to book a room in other places for the prices we saw on the site, later it came obvious that the prices are actual only if you also book safari in this or that exact place. In Olivi palace you see the real price, if you don't need safari, it's okay. It was perfectly clean. The design of the room is sweat and nice. The place is very close to Elephant transit home.
