The most chaotic portion of the city (nightlife and such) is within minutes of walking but you can walk in the opposite direction to connect to much more family friendly options like the huge street markets, temples, etc. It truly is a perfect location. There are tons of amazing restaurants within minutes walking too! Nearly right across the street there is a travel agency owned by Sunil Tamang. He will handle everything for your adventures and not be pushy. I strongly recommend him. The breakfast and staff were amazing at the hotel! The owner was very available and made sure we were happy! I even got a private tour of the property as they were doing upgrades. I very much recommend the hotel for all aspects: Location, hospitality, food, etc...

The rooms are comfortable with good WiFi. This family owned gem is well worth the budget price. Highly recommend. I stayed here multiple times while traveling in Nepal.

At The Terraces Resort and Spa guests are welcome to take advantage of a sauna and a hot tub. You can play billiards and table tennis at this 5-star resort, and the area is popular for hiking and cycling. The service went above and beyond our expectations. The staff did absolutely everything for us like provide us packed lunches for our trip to the airport and were extremely gracious towards our requests. The free tour, yoga session, and sundowner (with momos and tea) were also entertaining and set a great vibe for our stay. The food was amazing as well and I really appreciated all the dishes we ate for lunch and dinner. It was also nice to have the on-site sauna and jacuzzi. This is a great place to stay to get a much-needed breath of fresh after you get tired out from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.
