Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! We liked the combination of having a ceiling fan, an AC and mosquito nets on the windows. The porch was cozy. One of the best perks was being able to use the hot springs at the volcano lodge. There is safe parking on the property! The Hotel is located in the heart of La Fortuna, thus everything is easily walkable.

We decided to stay at Arenal Observatory Lodge by the photos, reviews and mainly by its location away from the roads and closer to the Arenal volcano and, after staying there, we now realized that we’ve made the perfect choice. Once you arrive there, you just notice that you’re surrounded by magnificent gardens and you have at your disposal several trails through those gardens and across the rain forest. The swimming pool and jacuzzi it’s a very pleasant addition to the property. The team was very professional and friendly; the restaurant was really good and the food was nice with plenty of options in the menu; all the space and surroundings is well kept and clean. We’ve made the guided night tour and we loved it. Besides that, we’ve made some of the trails and enjoyed it a lot. Our room was one of those facing the Arenal volcano with a wide window directly to a balcony from where we can enjoy the peaceful forest and the view of the volcano. The room was large and the bathroom had a lot of space. The rooms doesn’t have TV set and no AC is available, but they have a ceiling fan that is more than enough for you to get refreshed by its breeze. It was the perfect room. The breakfast had plenty of buffet options besides the menu choice and everything was really good. A can say, definitely, that, if I’ll travel again to the Arenal region, I’ll stay in the Arenal Observatory Lodge again!

This place was absolutely wonderful! My fiancee booked a week here in one of the casitas and it was our first time in Costa Rica. It lived up to all of our expectations and we were hugely pleased with our stay. The staff was absolutely lovely and very accommodating when we thought we were going to have a late check-in. We loved the fact that it was a working farm and had some lovely walks around the property including the Cabalonga trail, spotting sloths by the pool, and having leisurely breakfasts watching the birds. The location is also nicely situated, tucked away in the jungle giving a remote feel, while also being a short drive from La Fortuna. We would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a jungle lodge stay that doesn't feel touristy or like a resort.

What a fab place! The location is great - full views out to the volcano but also a 5min walk in to town. Surrounded by jungle so we spotted toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, frogs and raccoons right from our veranda! Our room was huge - we had a family apartment with two bedrooms and a living area plus veranda space with lazy chairs. Staff here go above and beyond to help you make the most out of your stay - helping to organise and book activities and giving advice and guidance on travel plans. The sloth tour with Armando was a highlight of our whole Costa Rica trip - we spotted 13 sloths (including two babies), a massive snake and loads of iguanas in just under two hours :)

    Fantastic location—close to the city center yet free from noise and traffic. The views of the volcano from both the room and the hotel are spectacular. We loved having our own private pool! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with booking tours and ensuring we had the best experiences. Although there's no on-site restaurant, the staff recommended excellent nearby dining options. Highly recommend for anyone visiting La Fortuna! I will definitely go back :)

    The location was very good, 20 min drive from Mistico park and 10 min drive from the city center. The view is amazing, you can see the vulcano from your bed. Lots of trees around the bungalow, we could watch the birds right from our porch. The staff was super nice and helpful.

    Fantastic location in central La Fortuna. A couple of blocks from everything. Clean room with adequate bathroom with a good shower. Air con. Fantastic buffet style breakfast. Nice pool is a bonus. Great value for money. We stayed in some nice budget places in Costa Rica and this was possibly the best value
