We stayed at this lovely hotel in Cossonay, right next to the funicular. The village itself is small and charming, perfect for a quiet and relaxing break. From the very first moment we felt welcome – greeted with a warm smile and even offered a glass of wine on arrival. The atmosphere is very family-like, and the attention to detail in the service is simply impeccable. I had requested a high-floor room and was happy to see they gave me exactly that. The terrace views are beautiful and add to the peaceful setting. Breakfast deserves a special mention: high-quality products, delicious cheese, excellent coffee, and everything served with genuine care by the host, who was always attentive to every need. A place I would definitely return to – it has both charm and heart.

Historic Hotel du Pillon offers panoramic views of the Diablerets Glacier and the Alps. This is a small family run place. The owners were extremely kind and helpful; went out of their way to ensure we had a good visit.

Highly recommended for families seeking a memorable alpine retreat.
