One of the few hotels of this type where your included breakfast was delivered to your room during your stay. The grounds of the hotel are stunning beautiful, complete with visits from local families of monkeys, sloths and toucan. The staff was really friendly and attentive to our every need. All of the above made for a wonderful stay and visit to the area.

The most special stay on our entire Costa Rica trip. The houses are built inside the stretch of a beautiful selva, with direct access to the pristine, unspoiled beach. We were surrounded by sounds and sightings of wildlife on our walks to and from the beach, and when enjoying our time at the house. The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

The accomodation is in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo but easy to acces by taxi or bike. The place is clean and equipped with everything you need. Kim is a really kind host, she will inform you of all the things to do in the area. We had a great time and miss the two cute dogs already.
